The General Conference coordinates theglobalministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and isresponsible forthe spiritual and developmental plans of the churcharound theworld. The church is served through its administration of13 worlddivisions and two attached fields.

The General Conference Session is the forum for electingworldchurch officers and voting changes to the church'sConstitution.Delegates also hear reports from each of the 13administrativeregions of the church. Voting delegates for Sessionrepresent worldregions both by church population and theself-sustainability ofadministrative regions.
