A third technique that is becoming commonusing currentcomputer software post-processing (with programs likeTwixtor) is tofabricate digitally interpolated frames to smoothlytransitionbetween the frames that were actually shot. Motion canbe slowedfurther by combining techniques, interpolating betweenovercrankedframes. The traditional method for achieving super-slowmotion isthrough high-speed photography, a more sophisticatedtechnique thatuses specialized equipment to record fast phenomena,usually forscientific applications.
