Configuration Management - NetAssistant Toolallows the user to create a Network Devices Inventory of Cisco IOSRouters by location and running the appropriate deviceconfiguration management commands to collect and monitor deviceconfiguration information from the active devices.

The first-time Tool user needs to "Sign Up" first following theinstallation of the Tool to define a local user and password; thencreate a Network by clicking on the "Create Network" button tofill-in the Network name and Details fields. Multiple networks aresupported at the same time to meet and to enhance user preferencesin viewing networks.

From the created list of Networks the user can access a definednetwork to generate a Map where they can apply a long touch on thescreen on the location of the Router device to see a Cisco routericon followed by a short click on the device icon to get the popupbubble.

This package is unlimited in terms of the number of Networks andthe number of devices within each network.

The popup bubble for each of the defined Router devices includesa "Settings" icon which links the user to the device's credentialswhich the user needs to fill-in as per the actual routerconfiguration.

The information to fill-in are:

1. The Router's IP Address or DNS Name
2. The Router's UserName [or HTTP(S) Client UserName]
3. The router Password [or HTTP(S) Client User Password]
4. A "Secured" check box that when checked the tool communicatedusing HTTPS instead of HTTP

The Router configuration management commands profile is accessedby clicking on the device popup bubble in the area of the devicename/ip and the icon.

The Tool is designed for Cisco IOS based network routers andswitches and exploits the HTTP or HTTPS Server IOS featurearchitecture by applying the [ip http server | ip httpsecure-server] commands. The user needs to define the appropriateusername and password from the device and has the opportunity toalso create an HTTP(S) client user and associated password for eachdefined device credentials in the inventory.

The Cisco IOS Router Config Management Commands supported onthis package are:

- Show Running Configuration command;
- Show Running Interfaces, Class-Maps, and Policy-MapsConfiguration commands;
- Show Derived Configuration details
- Differences between the Running and Start-Up ConfigurationsReport.
- Saving Running Configuration into NVRAM upon detection ofConfiguration Differences.
