Before you begin, set whether you want to be presented with theEnglish or the German expression first, or whether you want the appto vary between the two languages.

Then, an arbitrary English or German word will appear along withone or more example sentences. On pressing a button the solution isshown. The pronunciation of the German word is shown with the helpof the phonetical alphabet. You can recall explanations for thephonetic symbols in Help.
