The "Towers of Hanoi" is a mathematical game.It consists of three rods, and a number of disks of different sizeswhich can slide onto any rod. The game starts when all the disksare arranged in a cone shape from the largest to smallest disk onthe left rod.
The objective of the game is to move all the disks to the rightrod, obeying the following rules:
1. Only one disk must be moved at a time.
2. Each move consists of taking the upper disk from one rod andsliding it onto another rod, on a top of other disks that mayalready be present.
3. No disk may be placed on top of a smaller disk.

The "Hanoi Towers" puzzle (also called the Tower of Brahma orLucas' Tower) was first published by the French mathematicianEdouard Lucas in 1883.
