The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society is composed of engineers,scientists, students, and technicians interested in advancing thetheory and practice of electrical engineering as it pertains to theVTS charter. The Society concerns itself with land, airborne andmaritime mobile services; portable commercial and citizen'scommunications services; vehicular electro technology, equipmentand systems of the automotive industry; traction power, signals,communications and control systems for mass transit andrailroads.

The function of the Society is to promote its objectives throughthe leadership of its Officers and Members in encouraging theexchange of both technical and professional information amongmembers of the Society, and other groups, societies, and chaptersof the IEEE. This function is accomplished by means of:
