Cabaretier, komiek en muzikant Jochem Myjerwordt op 22 april 1977 geboren in Leiden. Niet veel later verhuisthij met zijn ouders en twee zussen naar Zutphen, waar hij opgroeiten les krijgt op het Baudartius College. Halverwege de jarennegentig keert de familie Myjer terug naar Leiden. Daar bezoektJochem het Stedelijk Gymnasium, waar hij een voorkeur heeft voor devakken Latijn en Biologie. Ondanks dat hij al van kind afcabaretier wil worden, kiest Jochem er na zijn eindexamen voor omin Groningen Biologie te studeren.

In 1997 doet hij mee met het Groninger Studenten CabaretFestival. Hij is 20 jaar en wint er met zijn kortecabaretvoorstelling Geen Gemyjer de eerste prijs. Reden voor Jochemom zijn studie op te geven en zich volledig op cabaret te richten.In 1998 komt hij met zijn show Gegabber in het theater, waarmee hijtwee jaar lang door het land gaat. Met zijn daarop volgende showsAdéhadé, Yeee-Haa! en De Rust Zelve verwerft hij de afgelopen jarensteeds meer bekendheid om zijn snelle tempo, muzikaliteit enfeilloze imitaties van bekende personen.

Naast cabaretier is Jochem Myjer een tijdje presentator voor deVARA. Zo presenteert hij in 2006 het Kinderen voor Kinderenmegaspectakel. Voor Radio 3FM treedt hij verschillende keren alspresentator op in het programma Leuk is Anders. Ook werkt hij meeaan Spijkers met Koppen. In 2009 wordt Jochem Myjer gevraagd vooreen rol in het Sinterklaasjournaal, wat zijn debuut wordt alsacteur.

In 2010 brengt Jochem zijn single Mijn Dag uit. De hit staatbinnen no-time op nummer 1 in de download-top 10 en wordt veleduizenden keren bekeken via YouTube. De volledige opbrengst van hetnummer geeft Jochem aan de stichting Energy4All, waar hijambassadeur van is.

Voor zijn ambassadeurschap voor de stad Leiden en zijn inzetvoor en betrokkenheid bij vaak Leidse goede doelen zoals XeniaHospice ontvangt Jochem in 2009 de erepenning van de stadLeiden.

Halverwege de try-outs van zijn show Even Geduld Aub! wordt erbij Jochem Myjer een tumor in zijn ruggenmerg ontdekt. Na een zwareoperatie hieraan (augustus 2011) revalideert hij een jaar lang. Inseptember 2012 staat hij weer gezond op het podium. Even GeduldAub! gaat in december 2012 alsnog in première en ontvangt velelovende recensies.
