Neo แบ่งการทำงานออกเป็น 2 ส่วน นั้นคือส่วนของการตรวจสอบสินค้าละเมิดลิขสิทธิ์และส่วนที่สองคือการแจ้งข่าวสารกิจกรรม ของทางเจ้าของ Neo Application

ในส่วนที่หนึ่ง Neo Application(SCAN)ไว้ใช้สำหรับป้องกันสินค้าละเมิดลิขสิทธิ์ โดยการใช้วิธีตรวจสอบ2วิธี คือ
1. การตรวจสอบผ่าน scan QR code จะใช้ กล้องในการอ่านค่า QRcodeที่ได้มา
2. การตรวจสอบผ่าน ใส่ text code จะใช้ แป้นพิมพ์ในการกรอกรหัสจำนวน18 หลัก
โดยรหัสที่ใช้ในการตรวจสอบนั้น ได้มากจากระบบที่คำนวณรหัสออกมาทั้งหมด18 หลักโดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มรหัสที่ได้และระบบป้องกันรหัสซ้ำกันในกรณีระบบคำนวณรหัสเป็นหลักล้านชุดก็ตามการตรวจสอบสามารถใช้ได้เพียงรหัสละ 1ครั้งเท่านั้น
ขั้นตอนในการตรวจสอบ
1. เลือกหน้าต่าง "SCAN" หรือ "ตรวจสอบ"
2. จะปรากฎหน้าต่าง ให้เลือกวิธีการตรวจสอบ คือ "รหัสรูปภาพ" (QRcode)หรือ "รหัสตัวหนังสือ" (Text code)
3. ใส่รหัสตามลักษณะการตรวจสอบ
4. ใส่เบอร์โทรศัพท์สำหรับติดต่อกลับ
5. ปรากฎผลของการตรวจสอบ โดยแบ่งออกเป็น 4 สถานะ
5.1 สำเร็จลุล่วง
5.2 ไม่สำเร็จ เนื่องจากไม่มีรหัสที่ระบุไว้
5.3 ไม่สำเร็จ เนื่องจากรหัสหมดอายุ
5.4 ไม่สำเร็จ เนื่องจากรหัสถูกใช้ไปแล้ว
