Sonic Lingo is a fun and easy way to learnvocabulary words for elementary school, high school or evencollege. It allows you to create multiple vocabulary word lists.Once a list is created, you can assign vocabulary word anddefinition pairs to the list. An additional feature allows you tooptionally associate a stored song from your device with eachword/definition pair to enhance your memorization skills.

Once you have constructed your vocabulary list, you can choosethe STUDY operation to review your vocabulary words and theirdefinitions. If you have selected a song with the vocabulary word,it will automatically play as you study each word anddefinition.

Then, challenge yourself by PLAYING the game. Sonic Lingo willprovide you with a random definition from your list and provides upto 4 possible vocabulary word choices. If a song was selected to beused with the word/definition pair, it will play to provide a clue.The game keeps track of your answer attempts and provides you witha final score after all of the definitions are provided from yourlist. Challenge yourself and your friends to get the bestscore.

Sonic Lingo can also be used in music therapy as a fun activityfor patients with memory retention difficulties. It is simple touse and vocabulary list can be tailored to each individual.

Sonic Lingo was conceived as a senior project by a high schoolstudent who was studying the relationship between memory and music.This app is the result of her work. We hope you enjoy it and findit useful.
