The Jungle Book (1894) is a collection ofstories by British Nobel laureate Rudyard Kipling. The stories werefirst published in magazines in 1893–4. The original publicationscontain illustrations, some by Rudyard's father, John LockwoodKipling. Kipling was born in India and spent the first six years ofhis childhood there.
