臺大醫院北護分院前身為「台灣省立台北高級醫事職業學校附設婦幼衛生中心」，創設於1949年，在地服務已超過60年。隨學校數度升格改制，醫院名稱亦隨之更改，於2004年8月1日正式整併為臺大醫療體系之一員，以建構「老年醫學暨長期照護的整合型中心」為發展重心，並提供社區民眾優質的健康服務為願景。

北護分院除了口碑卓著的護理之家及居家護理業務外，並積極與政府部門合作參與長期照護制度規劃，及發展各類社區機構之老人健康服務。本院以台大醫療體系專精之各科門診、復健治療及洗腎業務等，提供社區民眾需要的優質醫療服務；並用心規劃設置老年人多重慢性疾病之周全評估及整合性門診，為國內老年醫療照護開啟先河。住院病房則落實以老年病人與家屬為核心的全人化照護。本院企圖建構以個案為中心、家庭為單位、社區為照護基礎，並強調「在地老化」之老年醫療照護模式。

NationalTaiwan University Hospital's medical system specialization subjectsoutpatient dialysis treatment and rehabilitation services, etc., toprovide community residents need quality medical services; andcarefully plan and set up multiple chronic diseases of the elderlycomprehensive and integrated assessment clinic for domestic elderlymedical care on precedent. Inpatient wards will implement a plan toelderly patients and their families as the core of holistic care.Court cases in an attempt to build the center, the family as aunit, community-based care, and emphasized that "aging in place" inthe old mode of care.
