‘Castle of San Vicente de la Sonsierra: a virtual reconstruction’isan application for general use on mobile devices developedbyIntervento and Arkikus and commissioned by the Town Council ofSanVicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja, Spain). The virtualreconstructionincluded in this app aims to show the architecturalevolution ofthe castle of San Vicente de la Sonsierra (La Rioja,Spain) overhistory, with the main focus on 13th, 15th, 17th and19th centuriesAD. All digital content included in this applicationhas beenelaborated on the basis of the main image, documentaryandarcheological resources available at the present time forthereconstructed spaces or, where sources are lacking forcertainelements, by using chronologically, geographicallyandstylistically proximate architectural and/or ornamentalparallels,in an attempt to achieve the maximum degree of historicalaccuracy.The reconstructions included show the different phasesofconstruction of the castle. Specifically for this app,thearchitecture is pictured as if it has been frozen in time untilthepresent. These reconstructions constitute an interpretation oftheheritage environment agreed upon by different specialists atthedate of creation of the app; new research may well refinethisinterpretation further. “CASA DEL CORDÓN Virtual tour” is an application for general use onmobile devices commissioned by Fundación Vital Fundazioa(www.fundacionvital.eus) and developed by Arkikus(www.arkikus.com). The virtual reconstruction included in this appaims to show the historical evolution of the "Casa del Cordón"palace of Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country, Spain), in an immersiveand unique experience that shows 15th and 16th century architectureand scenes with different characters from history in a realisticway. All the digital content in the mobile app has been developedbased on real graphic, documentary and archaeological sources forthe reconstructed spaces. Where such original documents forparticular elements are no longer available, parallel architecturaland/or decorative examples from the same period of time, region andstyle have been used to ensure the greatest historical accuracypossible. The reconstructions included show an interpretation ofthe historical surroundings designed in conjunction withspecialists based on the information available when the app wascreated. Future investigations may subsequently alter theseinterpretations. “Vitoria-Gasteiz 1850: a virtual reconstruction” is anapplicationfor general use on mobile devices developed byArkikus(www.arkikus.com) and commissioned by the Town CouncilofVitoria-Gasteiz (www.vitoria-gasteiz.org/turismo). Thevirtualreconstruction included in this app aims to show thearchitecturalatmosphere that the town of Vitoria-Gasteiz (BasqueCountry, Spain)showed in 1850, before the demolition of thegateways thatprotected the medieval walls and its subsequentmodernisation.
