Another classic 16K ZX Spectrum game comes to Android. Thank you tothe original author John Hollis for his OK on remaking thisgame. The StoryThis morning I had risen early to take in thebrilliant sunshine of the Cote d'Azur in the height of the season. The contrasting blues of sea and sky provide a perfect backdrop asI relax with a Pernod and lemonade and lots of ice. Only theoccasional sound of seagulls disturbs my peace as I becomeengrossed in volume three of the Chronicles of the Faluvian Empire. What an epic book! However, by 10.00 a.m. the temperature hasreached the low nineties and the blistering hot sand is nowunbearable to lie upon. I must cool off. My companion suggestswater skiing. Well the sea seems calm enough for a mere novice likemyself. The boat is started and is soon skimming across the baywhilst I aquaplane along behind it, parting the still blue surfaceof the water like a giant cheese-wire, I see rocks and driftwoodahead - we must have come too far. I shout to my companion, but myvoice is lost beneath the steady throbbing of the speedboat'spowerful engine. Soon we are both ducking, weaving and threadingour way through, fighting for survival.Thank God! The rocks aregone, but ahead I see regatta day. Yachts follow eccentric tracksacross our path, but miraculously we find a way through withoutfouling the line, only to be met by a flotilla of "gin and tonic"cruisers being driven by inexperienced rich kids who all seemdetermined to finish me off. Don't they know there's a speed limitthis far inshore? Ahead I see sharks. We can't turn with so many "Gand T's" in the way, I hope I live to regret this escapade, or willI provide these mean marine devouring machines with an early lunch?
Metal Pangic 1.0

Controls: touch the bottom-leftof the screen to move your ship. There are two fire buttons on theright hand side of the screen. Tap the lower button to fire yourweapon and destroy the bubbles - the upper button toggles'bullet-time', which slows down all the bubbles on the screen. Howto play: Shoot the metallic bubbles, and don't let them hit thecockpit of your ship. There are three types of bubble: Copper is anormal bubble that bounces left and right, and is effected bygravity. Silver doesn't let gravity get him down and he bounces offall four sides of the screen, in straight lines. Goldie finds youattractive and will bounce towards your ship so be very careful ofthis bubble stalking you. Power-ups can increase your bullet supplyso that you can fire up to 5 shots at once, but if you hit a B-ball you will lose a bullet. Also there are power ups that freezethe bubbles, evaporate the bubbles removing the smallest ones, replenish your bullet-time, and activate your sheild. Be careful ofthe EX ball which will increase the size of all bubbles on thescreen - it will also remove the largest, but this is still adangerous object. The last power ball is the IB which makes allbubbles invunerable for a short time, and is another one toavoid.Thank you for playing and I hope you enjoy the game...
