Harmonicity Meter 1.11
Measure the Harmonic to Noise Ratio (Harmonicity) from yourmicrophone.Harmonicity is a measure of the sound energy in theharmonics relative to the rest of the spectrum. Harmocity varieswith age, gender & which vowel you pronounce. Higherharmonicity values indicate a purer sound. Whilst lower jitter andshimmer values indicate a purer sound.This meter is supposed to beused with a continuous consistent sound, e.g. Pronoucing a vowel,or a tone from a speaker/instrument. Rapidly changing tone/soundwill give nonsensical output. FOR INDICATION ONLY. Harmonicity willvary depending on how close the source is to the microphone.Microphone sensitivity varies with frequency and from device todevice. Even amoungst scientific literature, it is difficult tofind consistency in absolute reported values. Jitter is a measureof the frequency variation of the sound. The relative jitter isshown as a %.Shimmer is a measure of the amplitude variation of thesound. RMS Displacement Meter
Measures displacement by double integrating the acceleration fromyour device's linear acceleration sensor. Note, that this apprequires a linear acceleration sensor in your device for it towork. Not all devices with an accelerometer will have the linearacceleration sensor capability. Any drift or error in theaccelerometer and/or other sensor readings is quickly magnified inthe double integral, such that even a stationary device willquickly show displacement readings going wild.
