The Diamond Street App uses GPS technology to takes you on adynamic, immersive audio walk through London’s historic jewelleryquarter of Hatton Garden.To use this app you will need to be in theHatton Garden area. As you wander around using the speciallycommissioned historical map as your guide, the app willautomatically set off audio stories, soundscapes and imagesrelating to your location. Voiced by the author RachelLichtenstein, along with a host of other characters, includinggoldsmiths, diamond dealers, geologists, sewer flushers, jewellers,historians and visionaries of the city such as Iain Sinclair, thisapp contains over one hour of superbly produced and mixed audio andnearly 50 rare archival images. Broadgate Stories is a unique audio guide to the stunning art andarchitecture at Broadgate, City of London. The app uses GPS technology to trigger audio narratives andspoken word pieces which you can listen to through headphones onyour mobile phone.If you are in the area covered by the appselecting ëWalk Aroundí mode will enable you to utilise the GPS onyour phone to play the stories. Starting anywhere on Broadgate,walk any route you like; the audio is triggered as you approach thelandmarks marked on the illustrated map. To hear more of the storyyou can simply remain at the location, or you can move on to hearsomething new. In between landmarks you will hear othersoundscapes, resulting in a seamless auditory experience.
