Hanuman Mantras | PLAY OFFLINE | HD Audio | Repeat Option | FREE |HD God images Hanuman also known as Mahavira or Bajrangbali, is aHindu god and an ardent devotee of the god Rama. He is a centralfigure in the Hindu epic Ramayana and its various versions. As heis Chiranjeevi, he is also mentioned in several other texts, including Mahabharata, the various Puranas and some Jain texts.Vanara (monkey),Lord Hanuman participated in Rama's war against thedemon king Ravana. Several texts also present him as an incarnationof Lord Shiva. He is the son of Anjana and Kesari, and is alsodescribed as the son of the wind-god Vayu, who according to severalstories, played a role in his birth. Hanuman is a monkey god. He isa noble hero and great devotee of Lord Rama of the Ramayana. Thisdeity is a provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect anddevotion. He is pictured as a robust monkey holding a mace (gada)which is a sign of bravery and having a picture of Lord Ramatatooed on his chest which is a sign of his devotion to Lord Rama.He is also called Mahaveera (the great hero ) or Pavan-suta (son ofair) or Bajarangbali. The Sanskrit texts mention several legendsabout how Hanuman got his name. One legend is that Indra, the kingof the gods, struck Hanuman's jaw during his childhood (see below). The child received his name from the Sanskrit words Hanu ("jaw")and -man (or -mant, "prominent" or "disfigured"). The name thusmeans "one with prominent or disfigured jaw". Another theory saysthe name derives from the Sanskrit words Han ("killed" or"destroyed") and maana (pride); the name implies "one whose pridewas destroyed".[2]:31–32 Some Jain texts mention that Hanuman spenthis childhood on an island called Hanuruha, which is the origin ofhis name.[2]:189 According to another theory, the name "Hanuman"derives from the proto-Dravidian word for male monkey (ana-mandi),which was later Sanskritized to "Hanuman" (see historicaldevelopment below). Linguistic variations of "Hanuman" includeHanumat, Anuman (Tamil), Hanumantha (Kannada), Hanumanthudu(Telugu), Anoman (Indonesian), Andoman (Malay) and Hunlaman (Lao).Other names of Hanuman include: * Anjaneya,[3] Anjaniputra,'Anjaneyar (Tamil), Anjaneyudu (Telugu), Anjanisuta all meaning"the son of Anjana". * Kesari Nandan ("son of Kesari") *Marutinandan, Pavanputra, Vaataatmaja: "the son of the wind-godVayu"; the deity who carried Hanuman to Anjana's womb * BajrangBali, "the strong one (bali), who had limbs (anga) as hard as avajra (bajra)"; this name is widely used in rural NorthIndia.[2]:31–32 * Sang Kera Pemuja Dewa Rama, Hanuman, theIndonesian for "The mighty devotee ape of Rama, Hanuman" Chantingthe hanuman mantras will bring joy, peace and money to the wholefamily. Shri Gajanan Mantras | OFFLINE | HD Audio | Repeat | FREE | HD Godimage Gajanan Maharaj from Shegaon (Buldhana District),Maharashtra, India was a Saint from India. "Sant Shri GajananMaharaj Sansthan" is the largest temple trust in the Vidarbharegion.[1] It is not known when he was born but his first knownappearance in Shegaon, perhaps as a youngster in his 20s, dates toFebruary 1878. He took Samadhi (i.e. his soul left for the heavenlyabode and his earthly remains buried) on 8 September 1910, and thedate is marked as Samadhi-din by his disciples (ऋषी पंचमी ).[2] Thedate of his first appearance is also marked as an auspicious day(प्रकट-दिनोत्सव).[3] The early life history of Gajanan Maharaj isobscure; his birth date is unknown. He is said to have made hisfirst appearance on 23 February 1878 in Shegaon.[4] His devoteesbelieve him as incarnation of Lord Ganesha and LordDattatreya.[citation needed] Biruduraju Ramaraju has tried toestablish in his collection of books called "Andhra Yogulu" that hewas a Telangana Brahmin. Shri Dasbhargav, a Shegaon native, haswritten "Shri Gajanan Maharaj Charitra Kosh". This book mentionsdifferent version of Shri Gajanan Maharaj's origin from thatexplained by Ramaraju. Shri Dasbhargav is said to have met ShriSwami Shivanand Saraswati, who was 129 years old at Nashik. ShriSwami told the author that he was Telangi Brahmin who had met ShriSadguru Gajanan Maharaj in 1887 in Nashik. He also clearly toldthat after Shri Gajanan Maharaj appeared in Shegaon and remainedthere, he had visited Maharaj 25–30 times. During these visitsShivanand Swami declared that he used visit Shri Dadasaheb Khapardein Amravati and stay with Khaparde family. Thus, Shri ShivanandSwami is none other than the Telangi Brahmin whose mention has beenmade in the foreword of "Shri Gajanan Vijay" on his own admission.Later Shivanand Saraswati left to perform penance in Himalaya andwas never spotted again (refer pages 362–365 of the above book forthe detailed conversation of the author and Shri Shivanand Swamialong with their photograph). Argument can, therefore, be made thatShri Gajanan Maharaj was not Telangi Brahmin as explained byRamaraju and others. Some speculate that he might have in facthailed from Sajjanghad, (which was the place where Sant Samarthahad lived). Das Ganu Maharaj has written a 21 chapter biography,"Shri Gajanan Vijay," of Gajanan Maharaj in Marathi. Contemporariesof Gajanan Maharaj identified him by several names like Gin GineBuwa, Ganpat Buwa, and Awaliya Baba. In summary, it may be unlikelythat Shri Gajanan Maharaj's early life will ever be known. Shri Dattatreya | PLAY OFFLINE | HD Audio | Repeat Option | FREE|HD Images Dattatreya or Dattā is a paradigmatic Sannyasi (monk) andone of the lords of Yoga in Hinduism.[1] In many regions of Indiaand Nepal, he is considered a deity. In Maharashtra, he is asyncretistic deity, considered to be an avatar (incarnation) of thethree Hindu gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, collectively known asTrimurti.[2] In other regions, and some versions of texts such asthe Garuda Purana, Brahma Purana and Sattvata Samhita, he is anavatar of Vishnu.[3] His iconography varies regionally. In westernMaharashtra, for example, he is typically shown with three headsand six hands, one head each for Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, and onepair of hand holding the symbolic items associated with each ofthese gods: rosary and water pot of Brahma, conch and wheel ofVisnu, trident and drum of Shiva.[2] He is typically dressed as asimple monk or almost naked, situated in a forest or wildernesssuggestive of his renunciation of worldly goods and pursuit of ameditative yogi lifestyle. In paintings and some large carvings, heis surrounded by four dogs and a cow, which is a symbolism for thefour Vedas and mother earth that nourishes all living beings.[2][4]In the temples of southern Maharashtra, Varanasi and in theHimalayas, his iconography shows him with one head and two handswith four dogs and a cow. According to Rigopoulos, in the Nathtradition of Shaivism, Dattatreya is revered as the Adi-Guru (FirstTeacher) of the Adinath Sampradaya of the Nathas, the first "Lordof Yoga" with mastery of Tantra (techniques). His pursuit of simplelife, kindness to all, sharing of his knowledge and the meaning oflife during his travels is reverentially mentioned in the poems byTukaram, a saint-poet of the Bhakti movement. Over time, Dattatreyahas inspired many monastic movements in Shaivism, Vaishnavism andShaktism, particularly in the Deccan region of India, south India,Gujarat, Rajasthan and Himalayan regions where Shiva tradition hasbeen strong. According to Mallinson, Dattatreya is not thetraditional guru of the Nath sampradaya, he was coopted by the Nathtradition in about the 18th century as a guru, as a part ofVishnu-Shiva syncretism. This is evidenced by the Marathi textNavanathabhaktisara, states Mallinson, wherein there is syncreticfusion of the Nath Sampradaya with the Mahanubhav sect byidentifying nine Naths with nine Narayanas. Several Upanishads arededicated to him, as are texts of the Advaita Vedanta-Yogatradition in Hinduism. One of the most important texts of AdvaitaVedanta, namely Avadhuta Gita (literally, "song of the free") isattributed to Dattatreya.
