Description

The Kionix Android logger’s purpose is to • Collect sensor datafrom multiple sensor nodes over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.1)connection from the Kionix Evaluation Kit. Sensor data is stored ina CSV -file to the phone's internal memory which can be then movedto the PC via file explorer or the share functionality. • Visualizesensor data in textual or graphical form on Android device.Theapplication is designed to use the Kionix IoT sensor node. TheKionix IoT Sensor Node is a small sensor node based on the NordicSemiconductor nRF51822 Series system on-chip (SoC), and it supportsboth Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.1) and USB interfaces. It consistsof sensors (1) Digital combination Accelerometer and Gyroscope, (2)Digital Accelerometer, (3) Digital Accelerometer and Magnetometerand (4) Digital Barometric Pressure Sensor.Another supported BLEdevice is Nordic Semiconductor nRF51822 development kit(https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/Products/Bluetooth-low-energy/nRF51822-Development-Kit).Using it with proprietary Kionix Evaluation Kit firmware it ispossible to access sensor data from Rohm sensor evaluation boards:•ROHM's SensorShield-EVK-001 sensor evaluation kit(http://www.rohm.com/web/global/sensor-shield-support/)• ROHMSemiconductor's Multi-Sensor Shield, the SENSORSHLD1-EVK-101(http://www.rohm.com/web/global/multi-sensor-shield) Furtherinformation about Kionix Evaluation Kit:•http://www.kionix.com/iot-evaluation-and-development-kit•https://github.com/RohmSemiconductor/Kionix-IoT-Evaluation-Kit/wiki
