Locale/Tasker Headphone Button 0.2 APK
Ryan B
A Locale plugin that simulates pressing a headphone or headsetbutton. Available buttons are the "hook" ie single headset button,Play/Pause, Play, Pause, Next, Previous, Fast Forward, Rewind,Stop. Also optionally checks whether anything is currently playing. This is useful because headphone buttons automatically use thecurrent "preferred" media player on your device, which is usuallythe most recently used one, instead of any one specific player. Iuse this to restart whatever was playing last when I plug in myheadphones. It's nice that Android automatically pauses whenthey're unplugged, but it's annoying to have to unlock the screen, navigate through the player app, and press play again. Add a Localesituation with headphones connected as the condition and thisplugin with "Play/Pause" as the setting, and voila, your music orpodcast automatically restarts when you plug your headphones backin! Warning: some media player apps don't handle headphone buttonsconsistently, or even at all, even built-in apps. If this plugindoesn't work with a specific app, check that it supports theheadphone button you've selected, and/or try other buttons.

Open Link in App 1.5 APK
Ryan B
Ever tap on a link to Facebook or Twitter (or wherever) on yourphone, and it opens in the browser instead of the native app? Metoo. No fun. This app fixes that. To use it, after you tap on alink, just select Open Link in App from the chooser dialog box. Ifyou don't see a chooser dialog, but you think you should, go toSettings => Apps => Browser or Chrome, or whichever app iscurrently handling the link, and tap Clear defaults. Currentsupported apps: - Facebook - Twitter - Instagram - GitHub -Goodreads If you're technical, it's pretty straightforward to add anew app. Feel free to jump in!
