OCP Java SE 6 Exam (1z0-851) 1.0 APK
The bookI used the following book for studying: SCJP SunCertifiedProgrammer for Java 6 Exam by Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates.Justabout anyone I asked about a decent study guide recommendedthisbook to me, and I gotta say: it's worth every penny! I've readoneother book by the same authors (which I also recommendheartily!),so I was already familiar with their style. Somehow, theauthorsmanage to make dull, theoretical stuff like GarbageCollection, sound fun and exciting. They approach every subject withlots ofhumor. The book is also filled with lots of practicalhands-on tipsfor taking the exam. You quickly get an idea what toexpect on theexam, and when it comes tThe preparationThese are the steps I took to ensure a good passing rate fortheexam:I read the book cover to cover. I read chapter 1 and 2twice,because I had a "false start". This actually helped a lotbecausethose chapters contain fundamental stuff that's imperativetounderstand in order to fully comprehend the later chapters. After reading and learning each chapter, I took some time makingthepractice questions for that chapter, and reviewing them.Thereviewing part is especially important!I made an overview in Excel detailing what exam objectivesarecovered in what chapters. Because I made it, you don't have to!Iactually kept score of everything I did, including thepracticequestions in the book. It gives you a nice overview ofyourprogress. Now it was time to use the Enthuware software: I made all ofthe"Objective-wise tests". Every Objective Test contains 36questionsabout one broad exam objective. Before making each test,Icarefully read the chapter summaries of the chapters dealingwiththose objectives. Enthuware took great pains in explainingtheright and wrong answers to each question, so it's reallyvaluableto review each test thoroughly! Then I started making the Standard Tests 1 - 12, each timereviewingthe answers before going on to the next test. These testsareactually very very close to the real exam. They contain thesameamount of questions, with those being a bit more difficultthan thereal exam. Expect each exam including reviewingafterwards, to takeat least 2 hours.Lastly I read all of the chapter summaries again and then I madetheLast-Day test. The last-day test contains slightly morequestions(72), and those questions are not only unique, but arealso selectedby Enthuware as being "The most importantquestions".The Exam!o that, you're not spared one bit. Each chapter followedbya set of example questions, and those are brutal.
