Ayyappa Mantras | OFFLINE | HD Audio | Repeat | FREE | HD GodimageAyyappo Swamiye Swamiye Ayyapo Ayyappo Swamiye SwamiyeppaAyyappo Ayyappan (Malayalam: അയ്യപ്പന്‍ Tamil: ஐயப்பன் Sanskrit:अय्यप्प) also known as Dharmasasta, Maṇikanṭhan or Sasta, is aHindu deity who is the son of Harihara, fused with both Shiva andVishnu. He is generally depicted in a yogic posture, wearing ajewel around his neck, hence named Maṇikaṇṭhan, which literallymeans "person with gem around the neck".By the 20th century, therehas been an increase in the number of worshipers of Ayyappan frommany different groups, spurred by vast improvements in transportand communication in southern India.Ayyappan's annual festival is atime of pilgrimage for ever-growing numbers of men from throughoutSouth India. The most prominent and famous Ayyappan shrine is theone at Sabarimala, in the hills of Pathanamthitta in Kerala, withover ten million devotees visiting it every year, making it one ofthe largest pilgrimage sites in the world. These devotees fast andengage in austerities under the leadership of a Periya Swami (onewho has undertaken the pilgrimage to Sabarimala for 18 years) forweeks barefoot and then travel in groups to the shrine for aglimpse of Ayyappan. Bus tickets are hard to obtain for severalweeks as masses of elated men, clad in distinctive ritual dhotis ofsaffron, black and light blue colors, throng public transportationduring their trip to the shrine. The name "Sri Ayyappan" is used asa respectful form of address in Malayalam and Sanskrit. Theequivalent of Sri is "Thiru" in Tamil. The mantra Swamiye SaranamAyyappa is translated in English as, "Lord Ayyappa, I seek refugein you".In ancient, the term Ayyan or Aiyan is a title of respectand the term Appan - which also means father - refers to seniormembers of the community as a mark of respect. Thus Ayyan and Appanput together - Ayyappan - refers to a senior respectable guardiandeity of the community. There are varied arguments that the cult isso ancient that the deity represents Nature itself, which was theonly matter of worship then, and that they personified Nature asAyyappan and named him so with terms denoting respect. There isalso a belief that the deities of Ayyappan and Aiyanar are one andthe same as the divine consorts of Ayyappan are called Poorna andPushkala whereas those of Aiyanar are called Poorani and Porkamalam(Golden Lotus). Further evidences in favour of this belief includethe similarities in the unique seating style, with one/two legsfolded and raised from the seat and the birth from the union ofVishnu and Shiva.Ayyappan is also known as Hariharasutan - son ofHari and Haran in literal translation - because he is the son ofVishnu, also called Hari, and Haran, another name of Lord Shiva. Heis also called Manikantan because when the king Rajasekara Pandiyanof Pandalam found little Ayyappan abandoned in a forest there was aMani tied around his kantam - meaning neck in Malayalam. Vitthal Mantras | PLAY OFFLINE | HD Audio | Repeat Option | FREE |HD God images Vithoba, also known as Vitthal and Panduranga, is aHindu god predominantly worshipped in the Indian states ofMaharashtra, Karnataka, Goa,Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He isgenerally considered a manifestation of the god Vishnu or hisavatar, Krishna. Vittthala is often depicted as a dark young boy, standing arms akimbo on a brick, sometimes accompanied by his mainconsort Rakhumai. Vithoba is the focus of the monotheistic,non-Brahmanical Varkari religion of Maharashtra and the Haridasafaith of Karnataka. Vitthal Temple, Pandharpur is his main temple.Vithoba legends revolve around his devotee Pundalik, who iscredited with bringing the deity to Pandharpur, and aroundViṭhoba's role as a saviour to the poet-saints of the Varkarifaith. The Varkari poet-saints are known for their unique genre ofdevotional lyric, the abhang, dedicated to Vithoba and composed inMarathi. Other devotional literature dedicated to Vithoba includesthe Kannada hymns of the Haridasa and Marathi versions of thegeneric aarti songs associated with rituals of offering light tothe deity. The most important festivals of Vithoba are held onShayani Ekadashi in the month of Ashadha, and Prabodhini Ekadashiin the month of Kartik. The historiography of Vithoba and his cultis an area of continuing debate, even regarding his name. VariousIndologists have proposed a prehistory for Vithoba worship where hewas previously: a hero stone, a pastoral deity, a manifestation ofShiva, a Jain saint, or even all of these at various times forvarious devotees. Though the origins of both his cult and his maintemple are likewise debated, there is clear evidence that theyalready existed by the 13th century. The texts slightly disagree in their data, in theirmeasurements of Shani's revolutions, apogee, epicycles, nodallongitudes, orbital inclination, and other parameters.[6] Forexample, both Khandakhadyaka and Surya Siddhanta of Varaha statethat Shani completes 146,564 revolutions on its own axis every4,320,000 earth years, an Epicycle of Apsis as 60 degrees, and hadan apogee (aphelia) of 240 degrees in 499 CE; while anothermanuscript of Surya Siddhanta revises the revolutions to 146,568,the apogee to 236 degrees and 37 seconds and the Epicycle to about49 degrees.[7]Shani's gravitational power is more than that of theEarth's.
