Description

Ramakrishna was a 19th century saint who wasinstrumental in exemplifying the universality of God. The majestyof Ramakrishna’s thoughts can be summarized in a few shortstatements: There is One God of us all, who is called by many namesin many languages. As many as there are individuals, so many arethe ways of worshiping the One God. The point of religiousexperience is not to engage in intellectual debate, but to becomesubmerged in the ecstasy of divine love through devotion to ourpath. He told stories in a simple way, but with a big meaning. Thisbook is a compilation of community gatherings that took placeacross the world between 1998 and 2001.

These gatherings revolved around Shree Maa and Swamiji’stranslations of Mahendra Gupta’s book, “Kathamrita”. This bookcontains discussions between Ramakrishna and his devotees. It is astorehouse of practical, entertaining, and applicable wisdom fromthe sincerity of Ramakrishna’s devotion to God.

Cosmic Puja 1.01 APK
The Cosmic Puja or Samashti Upasana, is themeditation and worship of all the forms of divinity in existence;all the deities of the universe. Pu is punya, which means merit. Jais jata, which means giving birth. Puja is activity that givesbirth to merit. The action of the greatest merit is to guide one’sawareness into the presence of God and to maintain that presencefor as long as possible.Through puja we offer all that we possibly can to God andthereby experience peace. Swami Satyananda Saraswati has translated theCosmic Puja so that we may use it to instill within us that qualityof true reverence for all of life in which we actually payattention. By performing this worship we become so absorbed in theunion between the perceiver and the object of perception that we gobeyond all duality.Derived from the Chandi Path, the Cosmic Puja describes methodsof worship the Divine Mother in her forms as Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasarasavati.
