Description

For RN, EMTs, and Paramedics... not so much Anesthesiologists, butwe can fix that...This program is intended to provide a quickreference to the drugs and dosages required to perform a RapidSequence Intubation (RSI). It does NOT take the place of formalclasses which teach this skill - you won't learn RSI from scratchby using this app. This app is designed to be stepped throughrapidly - patient class (Adult, Pediatric, or Geriatric); patientweight in pounds or kgs, or Broselow tape if pediatric; finally, patient health considerations - does this patient have anintracranial bleed? Is this patient hypotensive? Shouldhyperkalemia be suspected? - finally, here are your drugs anddosages. Any pre-assessment should be performed prior to attemptingan intubation (LEMONS, BONES, Mallampati scoring, etc.)Tap Menu-> Help (post-KitKat, long press Menu to get the menu items) forfurther information, and remember always to stick to yourprotocols. This is Betterware; if you can think of any way to makeit better, please drop me a suggestion at DTsEMT@gmail.com, andThanks!

IV Drip Rate Calculator 1.4 APK
DTsEMT
This is an IV drip rate calculator for paramedics and nurses. Mostof the features of this app are available on modern pumps - butmodern pumps aren't always available.Add a drug amount in mg, mcg, grams or units to a volume of fluid, select the dose ordered, andvoila! The ml/hour necessary to deliver that dose is displayed. Allparameters MUST be verified prior to infusion! However, if youaccidentally enter an incorrect parameter, you may back-screen tocorrect it without having to re-enter each piece of data.Thisprogram will NOT save preferences. Also, drug manufacturers anddistributors sometimes change their concentrations, therefore thisprogram will NOT let you simply enter "Amiodarone" and perform allthe calculations for you. This is BetterWare (for lack of a betterterm) - if you think of any way to make it better, please share itwith me so I can share it back with everyone. Thanks!

Rampart BLS 1.03 APK
DTsEMT
On the American TV show Emergency! (1972-1979), the intrepidparamedics Roy and Johnny would be toned out for a call. Arrivingon scene, they would invariably remove their trusty BioPhone andcall up Rampart Hospital, where the on-call doc would guide themthrough the process of starting an IV D5W and transporting thepatient. This app is for the budding EMT-B. It places you in theposition of the Rampart docs. Your EMT-B is calling from the sceneand asking for instruction. Your EMT can be ordered to: Confirmscene safety; Assess the patient (area-by-area); Take vital signs(BP, pulse, etc.); Check blood sugar; Start CPR; Provide oxygen;insert OPAs or NPAs as needed; Use an AED; Ventilate with BVM;Control C-spine; Immobilize extremities (splint) or patient(backboard); Assist the patient with Nitro, Epi-pen, or MDI;Administer oral glucose; Administer activated charcoal; Controlbleeding; Transport the patient This app works best with a naturaltext-to-speech voice such as IVONA or SVOX. It can be run throughspeakerphone or in a privacy mode. It includes an in-app scenarioeditor to modify existing scenarios or add new scenarios. At theend of the scenario an optional Debrief Mode provides feedback onhow well you handled the scene and patient. Full help available inthe menu.
