Description

The Kybalion is a study of basic hermetic teachings that outline anageless wisdom. In ancient times (and even today) these teachingswere not understood by the lay person, but were readily understoodby students, after the axioms and principles had been explained andexemplified by the Hermetic Initiates and Masters to theirNeophytes. The Kybalion was originally written in the early 1900'sand is now in the public domain. A priceless gem! This concise workon 'The Hermetic Philosophy' outlines seven universal principles:Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause andEffect, and Gender. The Book of Enoch, written during the second century B.C.E., is oneof the most important non-canonical apocryphal works, and probablyhad a huge influence on early Christian, particularly Gnostic, beliefs. Filled with hallucinatory visions of heaven and hell, angels and devils, Enoch introduced concepts such as fallen angels, the appearance of a Messiah, Resurrection, a Final Judgement, and aHeavenly Kingdom on Earth. Interspersed with this material arequasi-scientific digressions on calendrical systems, geography, cosmology, astronomy, and meteorology. THE APOCRYPHA - DEUTEROCANONICAL BOOKS 2.4 APK
The Books called the Apocrypha consist of 14 books originallyattached to the Greek Old Testament that were not in theHebrew-written Bible. That is because they were "first-written" inthe Greek language. They were considered scripture and used as suchby the Jews of the Dispersion (Jews living in foreign countries) atthe time of Christ. 1 Esdras: This is the Greek version of, and insome parts a reconstruction of the canonical Book of Ezra. It waswritten about 100 B.C. Some of the subject matter added is from thebook of Nehemiah. 2 Esdras: This book is an apocalypse, especiallychapters 3-14. It is composite in origin, dating from 65 B.C. to120 A.D. The value of the book lies in the fact that it focusesheavily on the period of Jewish thought surrounding the fall ofJerusalem in 70 A.D. 1 Maccabees: Written by a Jew in Palestineduring the latter part of the 2nd century B.C., is perhaps the besthistorical source on the period from 175 to 135 B.C. Well written,it reveals deep insight into the root causes of the Maccabeanrebellion and details the rebellion itself down to the death ofSimon in 135 B.C. 2 Maccabees: Presents information about theperiod leading up to the rebellion of the Maccabees underMattathias in Modein and follows it down to 161 B.C. Tobias: Thisis a story of romance and legend from the Jewish Dispersion inEgypt. It was written in the 3rd century B.C., and was based upontwo well-known Egyptian stories. Features prominently the angelRaphael. Judith: Legendary tale of a Jewish widow reminiscent of'Joan of Ark' who succeeds in outwitting and finally slaying agreat Assyrian general, thus bringing deliverance to her oppressedpeople. Wisdom: In many respects this is one of the most valuablebooks of the entire Apocrypha. It was written especially to combatthe materialistic tendencies of the canonical book of Ecclesiastes.Sirach: This book, written about 180 B.C., contains proverbs andpractical observations of life two centuries before the birth ofChrist. The work closely resembles the Wisdom Literature of the OldTestament. Baruch: The greater part of this book was written in the1st century A.D. under the assumed name of Baruch, the privatesecretary of Jeremiah. The 6th chapter is known as the Epistle ofJeremiah. Both books contain a series of exhortations, encouragements and severe denunciations. Bel and the Dragon:Written about 100 B.C., this story reveals Daniel's wisdom inexposing the falsehood of idolatry and those who promote it. Thebook also reveals the existence in Babylon of a dragon-god.Information about this idol is available from no other source, butit is particularly relevant in light of dragon prophecies relativeto the last days, scattered throughout the scriptures. The Prayerof Manasseh: This work dates from the first century B.C. It wasintended to be used in connection with the story of Manasseh'sBabylonian captivity (2 Chron. 33). Parts of the Prayer have foundtheir way into Protestant liturgy. Laodiceans: This addition to theBook of Daniel was written about 100 B.C. and was found inserted inhis book, in the third chapter, right after the 23rd verse.Contents of The Apocrypha app includes: ★ 1 Esdras - Chapter 1 to 9★ 2 Esdras - Chapter 1 to 7 ★ 1 Macabees - Chapter 1 to 16 ★ 2Macabees - Chapter 1 to 15 ★ Tobias - Chapter 1 to 14 ★ Judith -Chapter 1 to 16 ★ Wisdom - Chapter 1 to 19 ★ Sirach - Chapter 1 to51 ★ Baruch - Chapter 1 to 5 ★ Epistle of Jeremiah ★ History odSusanna ★ Prayer of Azariah ★ Prayer of Manasseh ★ Bel and theDragon ★ Laodiceans We hope this audio app benefits your spiritual/ religious purposes and goals. THE BOOK OF JASHER 2.3 APK
This is one of the apochrypal Books of Jasher translated from theoriginal Hebrew into English. The Book of Jasher (also, Jashar), orthe Book of the Upright, or the Book of the Just Man (Hebrew: סֵפֶרהַיׇּשׇׁר‬; transliteration: sēfer hayyāšār), is an unknown bookmentioned in the Hebrew Bible. The translation "Book of the JustMan" is the traditional Greek and Latin translation, while thetransliterated form "Jasher" is found in the King James Bible,1611. The book appears to be referenced from around the reign ofDavid. ★2 Samuel 1:18 states: To teach the Sons of Judah the use ofthe bow; behold it is written in the Book of the Upright (SēperhaYYāšār; Hebrew: עַל־סֵפֶר הַיׇּשׇׁר‬; literally, "upon the Bookof the Upright"). David's lament for Jonathan immediately follows. The King James Version of the English Bible has the inclusion "theuse of" in italics, material its translator(s) added to render thetext into what they considered understandable and comfortableEnglish. Other versions, such as the English Standard Version,David taught his Judaians The Bow, a hypothesised poetic lament ofthe deaths of Saul and Jonathan. If that interpretation offered inthe ESV footnote is accepted, then such a Bow was a lament or atune contained in the Book of Jashar or which that book also sayswas taught to the Judaians. ★The Septuagint translation renderssefer hayashar in both cases as 'Book of the Just'. It also missesthe reference to the bow. It reads: And he gave orders to teach itthe sons of Iouda: behold it is written in the Book of the Just.★Joshua 9 cites it amid its depiction of Joshua's military exploitsin the land of Canaan, specifically after Adonizedek, king ofJerusalem, and his allies attacked the people of Gibeon for allyingwith Israel following which Joshua and the Israelites came to itsaid. When "YHWH gave the Amorites over to the sons of Israel",Joshua told the sun to stand still over Gibeon and the moon tostand still over Valley of Aijalon (Joshua 9:1-2). ★Joshua 10:13states: And the Sun stood still, and the Moon stayed, until thepeople had avenged themselves on their enemies. Is this not writtenin the Book of the Upright (Sēper haYYāšār)? The presence of thisevent in a book of poetry has been interpreted as a poeticdescription of the prolonged battle. According to the MedievalJewish scholar Rashi, Sefer HaYashar refers to the Pentateuch, as afulfillment of Jacob's prophecy regarding Ephraim — “His seed willfill the nations” (Gen. 48:19) — and that this prophecy refers toJoshua's renown after the miracle of the standing of the sun. Thecontents of this app covers much of the same ground as thetraditional Mosaic books of the Bible, from the creation of theworld to the death of Moses, albeit with several minor variations. This is a massive read of more than 800,000 characters containedbetween 91 chapters. THE SECRETS OF ENOCH BOOK 2.3 APK
The Secrets of Enoch, also known as the Second Book of Enoch(usually abbreviated 2 Enoch, and otherwise variously known asSlavonic Enoch) is a pseudepigraphic text (a text whose claimedauthorship is unfounded) of the Old Testament. It is usuallyconsidered to be part of the Apocalyptic literature. The datingoften preferred for the writing of 2 Enoch is late 1st century CE.The text has been preserved in full only in Slavonic, but in 2009it was announced that Coptic fragments of the book had beenidentified. Greek is indicated as the language from which theSlavonic version was translated. 2 Enoch is not regarded asscripture by Jews or any Christian group. It was rediscovered andpublished at the end of the 19th century. Most scholars consider 2Enoch to be composed by an unknown Jewish sectarian group, whilesome authors think it is a 1st-century Christian text. Othersconsider it a later Christian work. 2 Enoch is distinct from theBook of Enoch, known as 1 Enoch. There is also an unrelated 3Enoch. The numbering of these texts has been applied by scholars todistinguish the texts from one another. The book can be divided infour sections: *In the first section (chapters 1–22), Enoch, at theage of 365, is taken by two angels through the ten heavens, one byone. *In the second section (chapters 23–37), Enoch, now guided byGabriel, speaks with God in the tenth heaven face to face.Afterwards, he is anointed by Michael, and becomes similar inappearance to the angels. God tests the obedience of his angels byhaving them bow down before Enoch. A group of angels, identified asthe angels of Satanail, refuses. They are imprisoned. Eventuallythey bow before Enoch, addressing him as "a man of God." (Thisstory seems similar to that of the War in Heaven between God andSatan.) The Lord asks the angel Vereviel to dictate to Enoch 360books containing all that is knowable. Later, the Lord himselftells Enoch the secrets, unknown even to the angels, of theCreation until the Flood. Enoch is finally sent back to Earth forthirty days. *The third section (chapters 38–68) is a list ofdoctrinal and ethical instructions given by Enoch to his sons. Themain moral principle is to have love for all living beings (similarto the ethics found in the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs).Particularly noticeable is a lack of interest in the sin offornication, and not once is the Law of Moses referred to. Enochteaches the uselessness of intercessions. At the end of the thirtydays, Enoch is taken into heaven forever. *The last section(sometimes referred to as the Exaltation of Melchizedek) outlinesthe priestly succession of Enoch. Enoch's son, Methuselah, is askedby the people to act as an interim priest. The priesthood of Nir,grandson of Methuselah, is also temporary. Then the miraculousbirth of Melchizedek and his priesthood are narrated (seeMelchizedek in the Second Book of Enoch for a short summary). Inmanuscript B and in the long versions, this section ends with ashort narrative of the Deluge. This app contains all the abovementioned 68 chapters of The Book Of The Secrets of Enoch. TheFirst Book of Enoch (1 Enoch), along with other Apocrypha books, can we found within our Google Play store. We hope you enjoy thecontents of this app. Please leave your rating and feedback for usto improve on future updates and releases.
I CHING 2.3 APK
The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is the most widely read of thefive Chinese Classics. The book was traditionally written by thelegendary Chinese Emperor Fu Hsi (2953-2838 B.C.). It is possiblethat the the I Ching originated from a prehistoric divinationtechnique which dates back as far as 5000 B.C. Thus it may be theoldest text at this site. Futher commentaries were added by KingWen and the Duke of Chou in the eleventh century B.C. An I Chinginterpretation is performed by making six binary decisions (ahexagram). This is called 'casting the I Ching'. These are writtendown as a stack of six solid or broken lines. This wastraditionally done either by tossing yarrow stalks or coins, although there is no reason why the hexagrams can't be generated bysome other means (such as a computer program). There are actuallyfour possible values for each of the lines; the two on/off values, and a line which changes from on to off or vice versa. Thus onecast of the I Ching can generate two different hexagrams, whichadds depth to the interpretation. The sophistication of this methodhas not escaped modern interpretation, and the four-valued logichas been compared to the biochemistry of DNA amino acids. How aNeolithic shamans' divination technique presaged the basic logic ofthe human genome is one of the ageless mysteries. THE BOOK OF JUBILEES (LESSER GENESIS) 2.3 APK
The Book of Jubilees, sometimes called Lesser Genesis(Leptogenesis), is an ancient Jewish religious work of 50 chapters, considered canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Church as well asBeta Israel (Ethiopian Jews), where it is known as the Book ofDivision (Ge'ez: መጽሃፈ ኩፋሌ Mets'hafe Kufale). Jubilees is consideredone of the pseudepigrapha by Protestant, Roman Catholic, andEastern Orthodox Churches. It is also not considered canon withinJudaism outside of the Beta Israel. It was well known to EarlyChristians, as evidenced by the writings of Epiphanius, JustinMartyr, Origen, Diodorus of Tarsus, Isidore of Alexandria, Isidoreof Seville, Eutychius of Alexandria, John Malalas, GeorgeSyncellus, and George Kedrenos. The text was also utilized by thecommunity that originally collected the Dead Sea Scrolls. Nocomplete Greek or Latin version is known to have survived, but theGe'ez version has been shown to be an accurate translation of theversions found in the Dead Sea Scrolls. The Book of Jubilees claimsto present "the history of the division of the days of the Law, ofthe events of the years, the year-weeks, and the jubilees of theworld" as revealed to Moses (in addition to the Torah or"Instruction") by angels while he was on Mount Sinai for forty daysand forty nights. The chronology given in Jubilees is based onmultiples of seven; the jubilees are periods of 49 years, seven"year-weeks", into which all of time has been divided. Jubileescovers much of the same ground as Genesis, but often withadditional detail, and addressing Moses in the second person as theentire history of creation, and of Israel up to that point, isrecounted in divisions of 49 years each, or "Jubilees". The elapsedtime from the creation, up to Moses receiving the scriptures uponSinai during the Exodus, is calculated as fifty Jubilees, less the40 years still to be spent wandering in the desert before enteringCanaan – or 2,410 years. Four classes of angels are mentioned:angels of the presence, angels of sanctifications, guardian angelsover individuals, and angels presiding over the phenomena ofnature. Enoch was the first man initiated by the angels in the artof writing, and wrote down, accordingly, all the secrets ofastronomy, of chronology, and of the world's epochs. As regardsdemonology, the writer's position is largely that of thedeuterocanonical writings from both New and Old Testament times. This Book Of Jubilees app, translated by Robert Henry Charles, contains full, unadulterated content consisting 50 chapters. Wehope you'll gain further insights from this one of many Apocryphalbooks. Please leave us your rating and feedback so that we mayimprove in future updates and releases.
