Description

This app provides a fully customizable UNIX clock widget. This clockdisplays the current UNIX time.Unix time (a.k.a. POSIX time orEpoch time) is a system for describing instants in time, defined asthe number of seconds that have elapsed since 00:00:00 CoordinatedUniversal Time (UTC), Thursday, 1 January 1970, not counting leapseconds. It is used widely in Unix-like and many other operatingsystems and file formats. Due to its handling of leap seconds, itis neither a linear representation of time nor a truerepresentation of UTC.Unfortunatelly,at 03:14:08 UTC on 19 January2038, 32-bit versions of the Unix time stamp will cease to work, asit will overflow the largest value that can be held in a signed32-bit number (2,147,483,647). Before this moment, software using32-bit time stamps will need to adopt a new convention for timestamps, and file formats using 32-bit time stamps will need to bechanged to support larger time stamps or a different epoch. We willbe sure to make this app compatible with the 64-bit version of theUNIX time stamp!
