This is an updated version of the open-sourcedLullaby music player for the Ampache music streaming server.I recently installed my own personal Ampache MP3 server on myRaspberry Pi when I found this Android code lying around on theinter-webs.So I fixed a few of the major bugs, like a run-away thread causingbattery drain, and tested on KitKat and Jelly Bean.If you have issues email me at the address on the Play page.

ChimeIn is a live-event audio app forpresenting and lecturing with audience participation andmulti-party intercom.The app streams audio over your local network allowing anyone witha smartphone to use it as a wireless microphone.The app gives everyone access to a microphone for speaking and yetstill lets the main speaker moderate who talks via the AudienceManagement screen. Bluetooth headset microphones and wired headsetmicrophones are supported and recommended for the Presenter. Thenumber of simultaneous audience participants is limited only byyour local router. ChimeIn uses Wifi or Ethernet multicasting andis not recommended for mobile data connections.How to Use ChimeIn:The main speaker chooses “Start Call” while the others choose“Join Call”. The person who started the call owns the call; theyare the Presenter and others who join are the Audience. Multiplecalls can be active on the same Wifi router. All new calls areadvertised on your network using Bonjour or ZeroConf (multicastDNS) making them easy to find and join.In an “Open Mic” call, anyone can speak by pressing “Tap toTalk”. Only one audience member can speak at a time and thepresenter has the power to silence their mic with the AudienceManagement tools available via the blue Audience Button on theirlower right corner of the screen.If the “Open Mic” option is unchecked then the presenter mustapprove each request to speak from the audience. When an audiencemember presses Tap to Talk, a request is queued in the AudienceManagement screen and the blue Audience Button turns red.To connect to a Public Address system, you can use a tablet orsecond phone and join it to the call. Use the earphone jack toconnect to the PA. (Do not activate the Microphone or you may getfeedback.)Choose your best quality phone for speaking. Many newer phones havebuilt-in echo reduction and volume control which the app willattempt to use if it can.The Presenter's audio is mixed onto the Android Music Channel whilethe Audience is mixed onto the Notification Channel. Adjust yourvolume accordingly.Your Wifi router and Android devices must support multicastingfor ChimeIn to work. ChimeIn is NOT a cloud based app.The app was designed to reach dozens of local devicessimultaneously using Wifi or Ethernet multicasting without meltingdown your router. Most chat/conference apps make a point-to-pointconnection to a cloud server. So if there are 6 people on a Skypecall, then that is 6 simultaneous, separate audio streams versus 2for ChimeIn. Even if there are 50 people joined to the call, thenit's still only 2 streams for ChimeIn.Technical Note: For Quality Of Service on the app side, thepacket DSCP is set to 34 which corresponds to AF41 (AssuredForwarding). This was confirmed in Wireshark with a stock Nexus 5.If the app detects a Cyanogenmod OS, the superior QoS of “ExpeditedForwarding “ or DSCP 46 is used. (Expedited Forwarding is blockedby the Android OS on a stock Nexus 5.)

These apps allow Cloud-free printing on android.Let'sPrint PDF acts as a PDF rendering engine, allowing Let'sPrintDroid to generate PCL and Postscript for PDF files. (alaGhostScript.) To actually print a PDF file, you must installandrun Let's Print Droid. By itself, Let's Print PDF acts only asaPDF viewer.
