Dementia Screener is an layman's app todiagnose if someone has symptoms of dementia. This screening wasfirst designed by Mundt JC, Freed DM, Greist JH and published inLay person-based screening for early detection of Alzheimer'sdisease: development and validation of an instrument. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11833978)and the second screener is based on the AD8: a brief informantinterview to detect dementia (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16116116).Both apps are designed to make screening for dementia easy for thelayman, promote early diagnosis and the detection of dementia.

The screeners are digitised by Lau Cher Chien of theBioinformatics Research Group (BIRG), Universiti TeknologiMalaysia.
