The bulk of the guideisformed by the “Virtual orchestra” section, whose core iscomposedof a multi-channel recording of Maurice Ravel’s Bolero—aravishingand popular piece which allows each orchestra instrument amomentin the spotlight. The application enables users to followthecomposition bar by bar, either as a dynamic score or agraphiclayout and a shining map of instruments. One maysimultaneouslywatch the orchestra perform and follow the work ofits conductor. Asingle click allows users to listen to a selectedinstrument andsee how it is played by musicians. Or find out howlong they waitfor their big moment…Each instrument of the modern symphony orchestra is featuredinfilms and texts. The application contains 25 showcases, fromtheviolin through the trumpet, the harp, and the snaredrum.“Orkiestrownik” also features musicians of the exquisiteSinfoniaVarsovia who talk about their work, passion, and the prosand consof an artistic career.The application also includes bookmarks covering the conductor,arehearsal and a concert. Users are guided by theirreplaceable,colorful and dynamic maestro Jerzy Maksymiuk, whoexplains the roleof the conductor, the reasons behind rehearsals,and the structureof the orchestra.
