Filters for fees,elevations, dispersedlocations and geographic regions are alsoincluded. ➤ THIS APP DOESREQUIRE INTERNET ACCESS TO WORK PROPERLY.The campground data is onyour device as part of the app, but themap is loaded from theinternet. When first opened, the app will becentered on the UnitedStates. Tap the Locator icon to jump the mapto your currentlocation. From there you can scroll the map to viewcampgrounds inother areas or you can enter a city orlatitude/longitude into theSearch box and jump to that location. ➤Campground icons arecolor-coded according to the "ownership" ofthat facility and alsoinclude an abbreviation, thus making it easyto pick out each typeon the map. For example, Forest Servicelocations have a green iconwith "FS" on it. Unique icons are alsoused to denote trail andriver campsites, such as the AppalachianTrail and Idaho's MiddleFork Salmon River. ➤ Tapping on acampground icon will result in apop-up balloon with all the infoavailable for that location. Youcan tap on a Details button foreven more information about thelocation, including links to itsphone number, website, routeplanning to get you there, weatherconditions and pictures of thecampsite. ➤ You can also add alocation to a Favorites list. TheFavorites list organizes yoursaved locations by state and type.You can tap on a Favorite itemand the app will jump you there onthe map. The data itself isupdated every month with new locationsand corrections and additionsto existing locations. The Play Storewill automatically update yourapp with the new data.
