This watch face is designed as a dedicatedinformation hub. It gathers all of the actual information in oneconvenient view: weather, battery values, step counter, pendingnotifications including unread messages and missed calls, even timeleft to the next calendar event with inbuilt activity that allowsfor a quick glance at next 10 events for the nearest month. Whendata item becomes obsolete (e.g. counter reaches zero ornotification is dismissed) it is removed from view, since there isonly finite amount of widgets that could be displayedsimultaneously.Inspired by MCT Sequential luxury watch line, actual time displayis surounding this data array: minutes are presented on an openring, where gap serves to show off hour of the day. Minute"horseshoe" rotates counterclockwise every hour while minute arrowmoves clockwise at 3/4 of normal speed, thus always being at thenecessary place at relevant time. Minute ring allows to setbesel-like under hour "fire and forget" timers just by tappinginner area of the minute ring, those will warn you with vibrationwhen time is elapsed.Please note, that we are still looking for a design solution thatwill adopt round screens with "chin" while not hurting looks andfunctionality. Application is created insuch way, that turning off most of the interface elements eitherdisables relevant block in data aquisition service, or lowersscreen update frequency, providing better battery consumption onwatch, thus it is recommended to experiment with settings to findappropriate combination of battery life, informativity and looksfor your specific device. N.B. Garmin broke communication channel once again, with GCM 3.20.xit's impossible to receive messages from watch and mobile app willcrash if device status is changed when app is running. There's noworkaround other than using one of the previous GCM versions.Current version has automatic Garmin ConnectIQ reinitializationlogic, which will restart itself if connection to watch isconsidered incomplete. If you do not see "Send" action in toolbar,this means, that application was unable to connect to watch.Connection restart will take place with 15 seconds timeout(application will be fully functional during this time, only sendoption will be unavailable). Mobile companion includes activitytypes configurator, interval constructor and navigation waypointspicker. Although most controls are self-explanatory, here are somepointers: - any entry in interval structure is selected by simpletouch, if segment is selected, then all elements within it areselected as well; - plus action button in interval constructor addsinterval segment if nothing is selected, interval element ifsegment is selected, duplicates element if element is selected; -edit action button in interval constructor allows to edit intervalname if nothig is selected or interval element details if oneelement is selected; - delete action button in interval constructordeletes either current interval if nothing is selected or selectedelements; - to add waypoint either press and hold google map layeror press plus button if no target WP set is selected; - to movewaypoints between sets select source (first drop-down list) andtarget (second drop down list), then press plus button; - sendaction is located in application menu - sending data to watch is anasynchornous process, thus it's recommended to wait until statusmessage is displayed before closing application. In SignalWatchface to set timer is as easy as touching the minute mark atthe desired angle and confirming beginning of countdown.Double touching the same widget, while no countdown is active,starts stopwatch. Not only it allows you to measure time passed,but also features vibration patterns, that are related to severalpopular activites like Tabata protocol for HIIT training or"Pomodoro" timer, that helps organize daily work in an efficientway. Very important point of this feature is that these intervalswill continue to run even in background, so you can start stopwatchand then continue tracking with your favorite fitness app. Wearableconfiguration utility (long press watchface, then tap gear buttonunder preview image) allows for a quick change of stopwatchinterval even when not connected to phone. User intervalconstructor allows to manage list and create customdefinitions.Watch face also features several utility shortcuts:- tap the trophy button to start default running activity, which isconfigured in Android Wear;- tap the "recycle" button to quickly change between analog anddigital modes;- tap the wrench button to open watch settings (unfortunately,there is not direct shortcuts to airplane mode settings, which isthe most suitable candidate for this shortcut, but this one stillsaves you several swipes);- tap the alarms widget to either open standard create new alarmactivity if no alarms are defined, or manage alarms activity ifalarms were already configured;- tap the day of month widget to open watch agenda application(shows only local watch data for current day without eventhorizon).Mobile companion provides real-time preview of watch face andallows to configure several content options and colors to make yourwatch face suit your mood (beware, that changing base and textcolors makes watch to recreate immutable face parts cache using newoptions, doing this often may shorten watch battery life).Watch face if fully procedural, therefore it adopts to any watchscreen shape and density easily.Application is presented as a full-functional trial version, testperiod is 7 days long.
