The IPF World Powerlifting Championship formen and women will be held in Stavanger Sports hall 2 km outsidecity centre of Stavanger in the period from the 4th to the 9th ofNovember 2013.Stavanger is the second largest town on the west coast (127 000inhabitants), the main business of the area is oil relatedindustry. More about the area on the travel pages.The lightest lifters open the championship and the heaviest lifterswill close the championship, if you are interested you can readmore about the time schedule here.The host of the IPF World Powerlifting Championship is theNorwegian Powerlifting Federation. “Sandnes Atletklubb” isresponsible for the technical part of the championship.The municipality of Stavanger is the biggest financial contributorto this championship and has made this championship possible.

IPF Junior and Sub-Junior 2014 1.1
Dear lifters, coaches and parents,On behalf of the IPF, my colleagues from the Executive Committeeand I have the honor to welcome you to Oroshaza for the Sub-junior& Junior World Championships.I hope that everybody enjoys their stay in Oroshaza and I wish allthe lifters good luck. I hope your wishes for this Worlds cometrue.But let me also remind the coaches and officials that they have abig responsibility to take care of our young lifters. Please ensurethat lifters do not drink alcohol and that they go to their roomsat the night without making noise so that the lifters who are stillto compete can sleep without disruption.I want say thanks to the organizer, Mr. Imre Mustafa and to thePresident of the Hungarian Powerlifting Federation, Mr. AndrasRonaszeki for hosting this World Championship.Having 266 lifters nominated for this Worlds demonstrates that weare right to run both equipped and RAW competitions because theinterest is big in both.This is good for the sport and for the IPF, and also good for thelifters to have the choice as to which format they wish to competein.115 officials are nominated and from this there are 34 referees.This is very much the way we need go, as with that amount ofreferees we can guarantee a great championship.I will be there for the technical meeting and for the openingceremony, unfortunately however I then have to travel back home forwork commitments. It is with a great disappointment that I have todo this, as I always enjoy my stay with the lifters and officials.Having missed just one World Championship event from 1999 untilnow, this will be only my second Worlds where I cannot be presentfor the competition, but I will certainly be watching it over thelive streaming.I can announce that we will have a good live streaming in Hungaryand I hope other lifters, friends and relatives from all over theworld will watch the competition over the live streaming. Thelifters very much appreciate that you are watching them over thelive streaming. The videos will also be posted on YouTube for thosewho cannot watch it live because of the time difference.
