The Jacaranda Children’s Choir (JCC) is an internationallyacclaimed children’s choir. Founded in 1978, the choir hasestablished itself as a national asset, representing all culturalgroups, and acting as ambassadors for South Africa when travellingnationally and abroad. The Choir is one of South Africa’s mostsuccessful choirs who regularly bring audiences to their feet withoutstanding performances. JCC consists of around 95 singers between9 and 16 years, representing some 52 schools within the GreaterTshwane Metropol and surrounding areas. The choir’s repertoireincludes a wide variety of genres and styles that vary fromclassical music, jazz and light music to folk music from around theworld, including Africa. Nurturing a strong team spirit and ourshared values cultivated through friendship, a growing appreciationfor music and an exceptional conductor have contributed to thechoir being one of South Africa’s finest children’s choirs.
