Use the Guitar Mode Wheel to help learnmusical scales and modes on the guitar. You can familiarizeyourself with the sound of specific modes within scales as well asuse the fretboard display to help you learn positions of variousscale notes.The Guitar Mode Wheel features a “circle of fifths” which youcan drag clockwise or counter clockwise. You can use this to learnthe various half/whole step positions of modes and scales; drag thecircle to choose the mode (indicated at bottom of screen), thentouch the letters of the scale to hear the sound of the scale. Whena note is selected on the wheel the fretboard display is updated toshow the positions of the notes (also, when a note is selected onthe fretboard it is highlighted on the wheel.The fretboard is a display of the frets of the guitar. Thedisplay shows 5 strings of the guitar and the first several fretsrelative to the scale you've chosen. The grey dots (noteindicators) are specific positions on the fretboard in which youcan find notes of the scales. Note that the roots of the chosenscale are indicated by squares drawn around the noteindicators.
