Just A Kitchen Timer is a simple, efficientandeasy to use kitchen timer application that will help you timeany ofthe meals you are preparing.Selecting a minuteSelecting a time is easy – just click anywhere inside the timeroraround it and the minute you have currently chosen will be shownonthe screen. When you are happy with your choice, simply clicktheStart button. Moreover, the application has two types ofminuteselection:• Fast – by clicking inside the bounds of the white circle youcanselect every 5th minute;• Standard – clicking anywhere outside the aforementionedcircleallows for selecting every one minute;EditingIf you want to change your current minute, you do not have tostopor reset the timer. Simply click the icon next to theStart/Pausebutton and you will enter the Edit Time menu. There, youcan chooseyour new minute. Moreover, you do not have to worry aboutlosingyour current time, because no new countdown will start unlessyouconfirm any changes you have made. Also, the current time andnewlychosen minute are displayed with different colours.ResettingFor convenience, the kitchen timer comes equipped with aresetbutton that helps clear any currently set time.General Features• The application remains active in the background, allowingusersto switch to other applications;• Unlocks(only for swipe/no screen lock) and wakes the devicewhenthe timer finishes;• Provides adjustments for the volume and the ringtone;• Supports vibration to indicate a finished timer;• A red dot placed on the outlines of the timer shows thelastminute that was set.• Designed both for phones and tablets in either portraitorlandscape orientation;Special FeaturesThe application aims to preserve the workflow of the user as wellasthe battery of the device. It seems unreasonable to let theringtoneof the timer repeat itself for an extended period,needlesslydraining the device’s battery. For that reason, Just AKitchen Timerprovides two special features:• A maximum fixed number of seconds that the alarm will be sounded–long enough to be heard, but not too long to drain your battery(canbe chosen from the Settings).• “Beeping Reminder”, which plays a short audible beep, thatrepeatsevery few seconds, to remind you that the timer hasfinished and itneeds to be confirmed (can be turned On/Off fromtheSettings).Also, the size of the displayed minutes and seconds is quitelargeto make it easy to see them even when you’re away fromthedevice.
