"ANHA" Hawar news agency was founded on March 1, 2013 by a numberofKurdish journalists in Belgium. It covers events and publishesnewsfrom various European countries, Rojava areas and other partsofKurdistan, in addition to the countries of the Middle East. Inourpresent age, where authoritarian mentality has exercised greatmediadistortion, using highly sophisticated techniques and toolsin itsattempt to distort information and deprive society of it, aswell asto eliminate diversity and pluralism. It also strives toharness allmeans and media platforms to serve this trend, whileANHA aims todeliver the right information and its basic sources tothecommunity. In this context, Hawar news agency seeks toconfrontauthoritarianism in the media field and join the struggletorebuild moral and political society. ANHA believes thatthestruggle in the media is one of the means of struggle topromotethe principles of life and build the personality of themoral andpolitical society, which absorbs all colors, voices,beliefs andopinions The media are now the main and most importantforcecapable of eliminating domination, and reaching to millionsofpeople at the same time. ANHA believes that media is a keyfactorin building a democratic society, in this context, it aimstostruggle in the media field to define, protect and developtheidentity, culture and history of the Kurdish people andalloppressed peoples, the peoples whose existence is deniedandpeoples exposed to physical and cultural genocide. In keepingwiththe legacy of the free media, ANHA's other core aims aretoeliminate the authoritarian media mentality isolated fromsocietyand associated with masculine mindset, and to create andbuildthought that is closely related to society. It also seeks togetthe media out of the hegemony of power, put it at the serviceofthe people, and strengthen alternative media institutions. Inthiscontext, ANHA adopts the values of democratic andparticipatorylife, adopts the Democratic civilization's history andphilosophyand adheres to the principles and values of the media ofthedemocratic and environmental society and women's freedom. Inorderto achieve these goals, Hawar news agency follows updevelopmentsand brings the information to the community, based onhonest,emotional, moral and objective media, through a networkofcorrespondents deployed in Rojava in particular and in the restofKurdistan and the Middle East, in general.
