BATTLEFIELD HISTORY TV is aBroadband/InternetTV channel dedicated to all periods of historyand programminggenres that fit within the widest definition of‘military history’.Launched in summer 2008, BHTV intends tobroadcast, as view ondemand (VOD), a wide variety of specialistprogrammes coveringsubject areas that would not normally beentertained or onlycovered superficially by terrestrial orsatellite/cablechannels.Our programmes, using the twenty-four hour availability oftheinternet, will grow into a unique archive of historicalinformationand resource for all those with an interest in militaryhistory, bethey family historians, war-gamers, battlefield tourers,studentsof particular battles or campaigns and military modellers.Most ofour programmes are available on DVD.Alongside our programmes there will be supporting oradditionaldownloadable information and products that will enableviewers toprobe deeper and broaden their understanding of thetopics exploredin BHTV’s programmes.BHTV will also be undertaking not to bombard viewerswithintrusive advertising but discretely place informationaboutproducts and services that are related to our output.
