A Source Of Joy Theatricals/ Broadway InTheHood founders Torrey Russell & Preston Coghill set out tomakea difference in lives of families across the country. We aretrulyblessed to have accomplish a lot because of ourprofessionalism,dedication, discipline to arts and our compassionto communitiesthroughout the country. Our main goal and primaryfocus has been toeducate and inspire people as we introduce them tothe joy oftheater arts. We have accomplished this goal and continuetomaintain this focus. We opened for Ms. Whoopi Goldberg in SanJoseCalifornia and for Dr. Maya Angelou as she received herLifetimeAchievement Award in both Phoenix, AZ and Los Angeles. Wewerenominated for an NAACP Theatre Award in California. Broadway intheHood featured performers at the 2010 Golden Globespre-broadcastevent and in 2014 we honored with a Emmy Awardnomination for ourPBS Documentary "Broadway In The Hood; Open DoorsOpenDreams.
