Panhandle Independent School District was incorporated in 1907,with 96 square miles. Panhandle Independent School District islocated in the city of Panhandle, Texas which is the county seat ofCarson County. As of 2009 Panhandle Independent School Districtencompasses 551 square miles. The Panhandle school districtincludes Panhandle high school, Panhandle junior high school,Panhandle elementary school, business offices, gymnasiums,agriculture building, athletic fields, and complexes which comprise$38,000,000 worth of facilities. The school enrollment isapproximately 700 students with over 130 personnel employedannually.
