This free app, based on the National clinical guideline forstroke 2012 (Royal College of Physicians) provides guidance on howto care for someone after they have suffered a stroke or transientischaemic attack (TIA). It is designed specifically for patientsand their carers, in collaboration with the Stroke Association. Youwill find answers to key questions about stroke care, and advice onhow to prevent a further stroke or TIA. The app also gives youguidance about rehabilitation after stroke, both immediately afterthe event and for the months and years that follow. With one click,you can telephone support organisations or visit their websites forfurther advice. You may find it useful to take this along toconsultations, and use it in conjunction with the professionalversion.
