Rabindranath Tagore is formally known as Rabi Thakur or KobiGuru.He was born on the 7th of May 1861. He was an Indianwriter,composer, philosopher, and painter from West Bengal. In thelate19th and early 20th centuries, he modernized Bengalilanguageliterature by reintroducing Bengali culture, literature,and music.As the author of Gitanjali, he won the first Nobel PrizeinLiterature in 1913 as a non-European and lyricist. RaviThakur'slyric poems are seen as spiritual and mundane. His elegantproseand magical poetry are largely unknown outside Bengal.Hemodernized Bengali literature by simply presenting thedifficultscripture of language. He portrayed political and personalissuesin a beautiful way through his novels, stories, songs,dances, andessays. Among his greatest works are Gitanjali, Gora,andGhare-Baire. He is widely acclaimed for his simplelanguage,lyricism, naturalism, and unnatural thinking. Two ofhiscompositions were chosen by two nations as their nationalanthem:"Jana Gana Mana" from India and "Amar Shonar Bangla"fromBangladesh.
