Arumbu Lite is an Application that aids in learning TamilLanguagein a playful and enticing manner. The application helpskids learnTamil through phonetics and also writing practice. ArumbuLiteapplication also introduces basic words for each letterwithphonetic sounds. Arumbu Lite is limited to only few lettersforlearning purpose. The current Tamil script consists of 12vowels,18 consonants and one special character, the aytam. Thevowels andconsonants combine to form 216 compound characters,giving a totalof 247 characters (12 + 18 + 1 + (12 x 18)). Allconsonants have aninherent vowel a, as with other Indic scripts.This inherent vowelis removed by adding a tittle called a puḷḷi, tothe consonantalsign.
