This app has only onefuncationality:
When you start it, it will switch off your screen. And it does notbreak your fingerprint re-authentication unlike other apps. That'sit.

Note:
This app requires root!!! If you do not have a rooted phone, itwill not work !

Many other apps do the similar, so why anotherone?

Almost all other apps lock the screen, but if you then use yourfingerprint sensor to re-authenticate in to your device, you getthe security screen displayed first (pattern, pin, code etc.),which is completely stupid as your fingerprint was successfullyvalidated already.

This app however, switches off the screen in a way, yourfingerprint authentication will still work without landing up onthe security screen again.

•No special permissions apart from root

Does this compromise security?

Absolutely no. This app just simulates a press on the power buttonof the device.
The behaviour is therefore exactly the same than physicallypressing the power button. Feel free to try it.
