De Trenddag is het jaarlijkse evenement waar Brabant haarbalansopmaakt. Doen wij het goed als innovatieve regio? Liggen weopkoers in Europa? Zijn we veerkrachtig genoeg? Op basis vancijfers,feiten en uw opvattingen, wordt op de Trenddag bekeken waarBrabantstaat, welke ontwikkelingen te verwachten zijn, enhoetoekomstbestendig Brabant is.

Trenddag 2014: De toekomst is nu!
Kiemen van Het Nieuwste Brabant

We leven in een tijd van grote en ingrijpende veranderingen.Eentijd waarin zelfs de veranderingen veranderen, zoalscommissarisvan de Koning Wim van de Donk het onlangs treffendtypeerde in hetboek Het nieuwste Brabant. We bevinden ons op eenbreukvlak, in eentijd van kantelende verhoudingen. Een spannendetijd die deBrabantse economie en maatschappij instabiel enkwetsbaar maaktvoor verstoringen, maar ook de deur opent voorradicale innovaties…Wie goed kijkt, ziet dat in de marge vanbestaande systemen detoekomst van de Brabantse economie ensamenleving opnieuw wordtvormgegeven. De toekomst is nu!

Tijdens de Trenddag 2014 gaan we in gesprek over het Brabantvannu en straks. Hoe ziet dat Brabant er uit? Worden wevolledigzelfvoorzienend? Wekt iedere Brabander straks zijn eigenenergieop? Printen we onze huizen? Werken we niet meer in grotebedrijvenmaar in kleinschalige collectieven? Meten we het nettoregionaalgeluk in plaats van het bruto regionaal product? En isnieuwe dataen technologie een belofte of een bedreiging? Weverkennen we dezeen andere vragen in een prikkelend en interactiefprogramma volinformatie, dialoog en entertainment. We gaan aan dehand vanconcrete voorbeelden op zoek naar de
kiemen van Het Nieuwste Brabant, het Brabant van morgenenovermorgen.

Het programma is festivalachtig opgebouwd, met eenaantalplenaire onderdelen, trendsessies voor kleinere en groteregroepen(vrije keuze), een doorlopend, blik verruimend programma eneenaantal Trending Toppings verzorgd door onze partners.

We live in a time of great and profound changes. A time whenevenchange the changes, as Commissioner of the King Wim van deDonkrecently aptly typified in the book The latest Brabant. We areon afracture surface, in a time of tilting ratios. An excitingtimeBrabant economy and society is unstable and vulnerabletodisruption, but also opens the door for radical innovations ...Ifyou look closely, we see that the future of the Brabant economyandsociety is reshaped in the margins of existing systems. Thefutureis now!

During the 2014 Trenddag we will discuss the Brabant of todayandtomorrow. What does that Brabant look like? We arefullyself-sufficient? Awakens every Brabander soon its own energy?Weprint our homes? We are no longer in big companies butsmallcollectives work? We measure the net regional happinessinstead ofgross regional product? And new data and technology apromise or athreat? We explore these and other questions in astimulating andinteractive program full of information, dialogueandentertainment. We go on the basis of concrete examples tofindthe
germs of The Newest Brabant, the Brabant tomorrow and thedayafter.

The program is built like festival, with a number ofplenaryparts, trend sessions for smaller and larger groups (freechoice),an ongoing, canned expanding program and a number TrendingToppingsprovided by our partners.
