An average of threecolorphotos per plant species. Used by farmers, naturelovers,conservationists, hikers, botanists, students, teachers,wildflowerenthusiasts, gardeners, nursery owners, and those curiousabout thenatural world. All photos are in the app; no need for anoutsideconnection. Built on over 25 years of experiencecreatinginteractive plant identification software. One of ourprofessionalapps, which together cover 18 western and centralstates and 4 SWCanadian provinces. HOW IT WORKS: Select plantcharacteristics, inany order, from over 50 lists of characteristicsthat match theplant to be identified. Plant characteristics aredefined andillustrated. With each selection the number of possibleplantsshrinks, often narrowing it down to one species afterchoosing asfew as 3 to 6 characteristics. At any point in theprocess, the appcan be asked to list the best menus ofcharacteristics to choosefrom, based on ease of use, effectiveness,and the list of plantspecies not yet eliminated from consideration.You can confirm theaccuracy of the plant identified by comparing itwith photos and/ordescriptive information about that plant, or bychecking it againstreferences listed in the program. ADDITIONALFEATURES: Menus ofcharacteristics with descriptions andillustrations provide aninteractive botanical glossary. Bookreferences with page numbersare provided for each species. All datafor each species isavailable. The species list is alphabetized bycommon or scientificnames, or you can do a search by entering acommon or scientificname, or even part of a name.
