Bhojpur district (Hindi: भोजपुर ज़िला) isoneofthe thirty-eight districts of Bihar state in northernIndia.Arrahtown (also known as Ara) is the administrativeheadquartersof thisdistrict.The district came into existence in 1972, when Shahabaddistrictwasbifurcated into Bhojpur and Rohtas.
