The improvement on accessibility tools, suchas electronic wheelchairs and walking aids, and the widecirculation of barrier-free information enable people withdisabilities and elders to go everywhere much more easily. However,due to the physical defects, some people with disabilities orelders face a lot of problems in their daily lives andjourneys.Given the popularity of digital tools, Hong Kong Federation ofHandicapped Youth develops a “Barrier-free Travel Guide” mobileapplication under the sponsorship of Office of the Government ChiefInformation Officer. Through the immediacy, mobility and simplicityof mobile application, people with disabilities, elders, people inneeds, and foreign visitors with disabilities can also obtainpractical information of barrier-free travel, thus enhancing theirmotivation to travel with their family and friends, so as to enjoyat ease the fun of barrier-free travel.
