描述

UPDATE: This widget is NOT compatible withAndroid 4.3 or higher (We tried, but the most recent versions ofAndroid do not allow access to the controls necessary to providethis fix). We’ve notified the OEM of the issue, but currently, thisAuto Haptic Widget will only work with Galaxy S III handsets withAndroid versions prior to 4.3.

This widget is designed to address an issue with certain GalaxyS III handsets that have updated to Jelly Bean. Users who have notupgraded to Jelly Bean do not need to install this application, asthe Auto Haptic Feature can be managed through the standard devicesettings (Settings/Sound/Auto Haptic).

Auto Haptic allows users to automatically incorporate low-powertactile effects in downloaded applications to enhance mobilegaming. With the recent update to Jelly Bean some handsets havelost the “Settings” menu controls for the Auto Haptic feature. Thiswidget is a universal ON/OFF control for Auto Haptic which allowsusers to enable or disable tactile effects for all downloadableapplications. After installing this widget, please reboot yourdevice.

This Auto Haptic widget does not impact the tactile effectsettings for other device functionality, such as alerts andkeyboard tactile feedback.

It is anticipated that the “Settings” menu will be restored withfull functionality to enable Auto Haptic at an application level ina future OS update from carriers. At that time, this widget will nolonger be needed.

The widget has been tested on both the international OS buildand various carriers. At this time the Jelly Bean upgrade ofT-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon versions of the Galaxy S3 are known tohave this problem. This widget has been tested on those platforms.Other carrier versions may have this issue, but the widget has notbeen tested on those platforms.
