Your goal is to conquer each realm bydefeatingthe inhabited creatures, including the guardian of therealm. To dothis, you must complete the campaign missions,defeating the wavesof creatures by casting elemental spells anddestroying them.You cast spells by using the touch screen to perform thespecificspell gesture at your target. You can also move thecamera, as wellas zoom in and out, to make it easier to find andengage thecreatures. Casting requires focus, and you have aregenerating focusbar, to let you know when you're ready.You begin with a single ice spell, and as you defeat moreandmore creatures, your mastery over the elements increases,allowingyou to unlock more powerful spells. Each element has arecoverytime, and the more powerful a spell, the more focus isrequires. Atrue master will balance which element, and how powerfula spell tocast, to maximize his potential, engage multiple targetsanddominate the realm.There are many creatures to engage with differentbehaviors,strengths and weaknesses. Some are resistant to certainelements,and some have specific reactions that will let you form astrategyfor how to defeat them. They all have one thing in common -they'reout to destroy you, and once they reach you, your shieldwon'tprotect you for long.Each realm is progressively more difficult, and you'll needtogrow in power to dominate its inhabitants. As yourmasteryincreases and you learn more effective spells, you'll alsobe ableto amplify each spell by acquiring upgrades such ascriticalstrike, knock back, stun, ... The result of upgrading yourspellswill turn you from a novice, into a force of nature,commanding theelements at will.There is one additional source of magic - the CrystalChamber.Here, you'll acquire the ability to release the essence ofacrystal into an incredible surge of power. For a short periodoftime, you'll have virtually unlimited focus, project amirrorimage, or release a shock wave that will knock back allattackingenemies. Casting one of these spells consumes a crystal,andrequires 2 minutes of recovery, but there are times whenyou'llneed to unleash the full extent of your abilities tosucceed.Upgrades are purchased with etherium, the currency you arepaidin for completing missions and destroying creatures. You'llneed alot of etherium to unlock and upgrade your spells. There arethreedifferent types of missions for which you'll be paid.Campaignmissions, which will allow you to progress to the finalguardian ofthe realm. Challenge missions, which contain creaturesnot seenbefore. They're usually weaker and attack less often, butyou'll beunder a time limit. Finally, there are Survival missions.Survivalis extremely difficult to kill, especially until you'veattained ahigh level of mastery. However, you're paid a lot morefor eachcreature you are able to defeat.Crystals are an incredible source of power, and areveryvaluable. For defeating realm guardians, your reward is paidincrystals instead of etherium. You'll need them for thecrystalspells during difficult missions, and they're used topurchase thehighest level of upgrades, so use them wisely.
