Whitton Lions is one of London’s newestrugbyclubs, affiliated to Middlesex Rugby since October 2011.Founded tobring the sport of rugby to Whitton in South West London,a townwhich has never had its own team despite being walkingdistancefrom the home of English rugby at Twickenham stadium, theclub isstill in its infancy and played its first games in April2012.We take both the playing and social sides of our sportseriously– we train twice a week (once when there’s a game on attheweekend) and play both 7s throughout the summer and 15-a-siderugbyin the Middlesex Merit Table (7th Division) during theregularseason. We also have a thriving social calendar and afriendlyinclusive atmosphere.We are always on the lookout for new players – we have agreattrack record with bringing new players into the sport, orwelcomingplayers back after a long break. So whether you’re abright youngthing who wants to continue playing after school or unior youhaven’t picked up a ball in a decade and you’re wonderingwhetheryou’d enjoy a run-out, we’re happy to accommodate.We’re also on the lookout for coaches, referees,volunteers,sponsors and vocally enthusiastic supporters, so even ifyourplaying days are over (or never got started) we’d love towelcomeyou.JOIN THE PRIDE …
