La actual Constitución es una aportación de la tradiciónjurídica mexicana al constitucionalismo universal, dado que fue laprimera constitución de la historia en incluir los derechossociales,1 2 dos años antes que la Constitución de Weimar de 1919.La Constitución fue promulgada por el Congreso Constituyente el 5de febrero de 1917 y entró en vigor el 1 de mayo del mismo año.
