The LOTM mPlayer allows interactive mobiletrails fused with location-based technology such as GPS, Blue-toothand Image Recognition (IR), using content created with a rapidauthoring tool to be run on iPads. Learning of the highlycustomized content is done collaboratively through various socialmedia apps accessible from within the LOTM mPlayer.

These features allow users to have direct, hands-on experiencesoutside the classroom that support self-directed learning andcritical thinking while allowing users to interact and learn fromeach other at the same time.
